Welcome to VendPlug. By accessing or using our mobile apps, website, and services (“Services”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use VendPlug.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations, fraud, or unlawful activity.
2. Marketplace & Roles
VendPlug connects buyers and trusted agents. Agents list products/services and fulfill orders. Buyers place orders and pay into escrow until delivery is confirmed.
3. Payments & Escrow
- Payments are processed by Paystack under their terms. We do not store card numbers.
- Funds are held in escrow until the order is completed based on the applicable fulfillment rules.
- Chargebacks, refunds, and disputes are handled per our dispute policy and Paystack procedures.
4. Refunds & Cancellations
- Where eligible, refunds are returned to the original payment method after investigation.
- If a chargeback is filed, we may provide evidence to the processor and pause payouts until resolved.
- Custom or perishable goods may be limited or excluded from refunds except where required by law.
4. Prohibited Activities
- Illegal items or services, fraud, money laundering, or intellectual‑property infringement.
- Abuse, harassment, spamming, or platform misuse.
- Circumventing escrow or attempting off‑platform payments for covered transactions.
5. Messaging & Content
Buyers and agents may communicate via in‑app chat to coordinate orders. You are responsible for the information you share and must comply with applicable laws. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the rights of others.
6. Fees & Taxes
We may charge commissions or fees disclosed at checkout or in your dashboard. Fees may change with notice. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
7. Disputes
Use the in‑app dispute tools first. We may request evidence from both sides and make a fair determination guided by our policies and applicable law.
8. Intellectual Property
VendPlug content and branding are protected. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission. You grant us a limited license to host and display content you upload solely to operate the Services.
9. Warranties & Liability
- The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error‑free operation.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
10. Communications & Notifications
By using the app, you consent to receive service communications (e.g., order updates, security notices) via in‑app messages, email, and push notifications. You can disable promotional notifications in your device settings.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risks to users or the platform. Certain obligations (e.g., payment of fees, dispute cooperation) continue after termination.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Venue and jurisdiction will be in competent courts within Lagos State, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post updates with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use means acceptance of the updated Terms.
